News : Expert US Doctor's Response to Corona Virus Living on Inanimate Objects
CNN Teknologi Indonesia Jakarta, CNN Indonesia - The Eijkman Molecular Biology Institute responded to a statement from researchers from the US Health Agency (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention / CDC), which said the corona virus could last 5 minutes up to 9 days when attached to inanimate objects.
Head of the Eijkman Institute Amin Soebandrio said the statement referred to the corona virus in general such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome or MERS-CoV and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome or SARS.
However, there has been no specific study related to the spread of new corona virus outbreaks that occurred in Wuhan, China.
"That information [corona virus can live on inanimate objects] to corona virus in general,there is no specific SARS-CoV-2 [or better known as COVID-19], "Amin said when contacted.
